EFT: Emotional Freedom Techniques Basics

EFT is a method used to release negative feelings naturally. It is an emotional form of acupressure. With your fingertips, you tap certain energy points on your body while you are "tuned in" to your problem. This is also known as "tapping", or "tapping techniques."
Gary Craig, the founder of EFT says:
"I hope this doesn't sound too grandiose, but I've been doing energy healing work since 1991 and my jaw still drops at the results. I've lost count of the number of phobias, panic/anxiety attacks, traumatic memories, guilt, grief and physical ailments that have been elegantly relieved (often in minutes) by this procedure. Even though EFT violates just about every conventional belief out there, the results remain remarkable. EFT isn't perfect, of course. We don't get 100%. But it usually works well and the results are sometimes spectacular. It often works where nothing else will.
We are still learning why EFT works so well. It centers around the profound effects of the body's subtle energies using the theory that the cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system. Accordingly, EFT is an emotional form of acupuncture except that we don't use needles. Instead, we tap with the fingertips to stimulate certain meridian energy points while the client is "tuned in" to the problem.
The subtle energies that circulate throughout the body have been largely ignored (until recently) by western scientists. As a result, our use of them for emotional and spiritual healing has been sparse at best. With EFT, however, we consider these subtle energies to be the front running cause of emotional upsets. As a result, we generate results that are FAR beyond those of conventional methods."
EFT is used to diffuse the intensity of the negative charge of emotions. It can also be used to encourage positive emotional outcomes. So, here in a nutshell, is how EFT works. With the assistance of an EFT practitioner, the client focuses on a problem or issue that is causing pain.

While being "tuned in", to the problem, the client is guided to tap gently on certain acupuncture points while verbalizing key elements of the issue. The combination of tapping, verbalizing, and "tuning in" diffuses the negative charge of the emotion. This is often done so subtly, you may not feel a big bang, you will just suddenly feel "normal". It sounds too simple to be true, yet it has worked time and time again with amazing & miraculous results! Even though I never thought this could happen to me… Second part: … I deeply and completely love and accept myself. With Energy Psychology methods it is NOT necessary for you to re-live or re-experience past incidence for them to be healed, and this is such a mercy. Patzia has helped hundreds of people experience the power of both EFT and TAT yet these methods never cease to fill her with wonder and awe! It is great to rely on an experienced practitioner, but if you want to take the time to learn, both EFT and TAT are easy to learn and can be self-applied. Any tapping you do stimulates the meridians, relaxes you, calms you and makes you feel a little better, even if you get totally the wrong opening affirmation and the original problem has not yet shifted. Sometimes you will notice the shift immediately, but sometimes many layers have to be cleared before you feel the benefits. Sometimes, the reasons and causes for problems, anxieties and fears are difficult to reach for a single person working on their own. In this case, it is a good thing to visit with a good EFT Emotional Freedom Techniques, or Energy Psychology practitioner (D-CEP or C-EHP) who has experience and can find out how to start the process off right.

Even though I can't sleep...
Even though I believed s/he would never leave me...
Even though I believed I would never leave this relationship...
Even though I can't believe I'm in so much pain....
Even though the lab must have mixed up my results with someone else's
Even though I have always cared for my body and can't understand why this is happening...

...I choose miracles (the miracle may turn out differently than what you might expect.)
